Clean Industrial Deal

The European Commission has proposed the Clean Industrial Deal, a strategic package to undertake actions to support businesses and transform decarbonisation into a growth opportunity. As Commission President Ursula von der Leyen said in the conference to present the plan, by June we will “remove the brakes on businesses”, which, considering global competition and costs, need, in the words of the President, “urgent” support. The objective of the Clean Industrial Deal is, in fact, to implement the Green Deal: the priority is measures aimed at sustainability, also meeting the needs of companies. The aim is, for example, to lower energy prices, enhance circularity and create quality jobs. Measures that can be implemented in the context of business innovation envisaged by the Industry 5.0 paradigm.

La Commissione europea ha proposto il Clean industrial deal, un pacchetto strategico per intraprendere azioni di supporto alle imprese e trasformare la decarbonizzazione in un’opportunità di crescita. Come ha detto la presidente della Commissione Ursula von der Leyen nella conferenza di presentazione del piano, entro giugno “togliamo freni alle imprese”, che, considerando la concorrenza globale e i costi hanno bisogno, nelle parole della presidente di supporto “urgente”.
L’obiettivo del Clean industrial deal è, di fatto, attuare il green deal: la priorità sono le misure volte alla sostenibilità, andando incontro anche alle esigenze delle aziende. Si punta, ad esempio, ad abbassare i prezzi dell’energia, valorizzare la circolarità e creare posti di lavoro di qualità. Misure che possono essere attuate nel contesto di innovazione delle imprese previsto dal paradigma Industria 5.0.

Blueprint for Intelligent Economies – AI Competitiveness through Regional Collaboration.

Artificial intelligence (AI) is increasingly acknowledged as a transformative enabler, fundamentally changing industries, economies and societies worldwide. However, various unique challenges in the AI maturity journey are preventing nations from fully leveraging its benefits. Securing the substantial investment required to advance AI innovation and address significant gaps in digital infrastructure is further intensifying the existing digital divide. Building resilient national AI ecosystems and promoting widespread adoption requires multistakeholder action and political will. The AI Governance Alliance launched the Inclusive AI for Growth and Development Initiative to promote the development and implementation of holistic and tailored approaches to advancing safe and inclusive innovation, deployment and adoption of AI by all.

Progetto per economie intelligenti – Competitività dell’IA attraverso la collaborazione regionale.
L'intelligenza artificiale (IA) è sempre più riconosciuta come un fattore trasformativo, in grado di cambiare radicalmente settori, economie e società in tutto il mondo. Tuttavia, varie sfide uniche nel percorso di maturità dell'IA impediscono alle nazioni di sfruttarne appieno i benefici. Garantire l'investimento sostanziale necessario per far progredire l'innovazione dell'IA e colmare le lacune significative nell'infrastruttura digitale sta intensificando ulteriormente l'attuale divario digitale. Costruire ecosistemi nazionali di IA resilienti e promuovere un'adozione diffusa richiede azioni multi-stakeholder e volontà politica. L'AI Governance Alliance ha lanciato l'iniziativa "Inclusive AI for Growth and Development" per promuovere lo sviluppo e l'implementazione di approcci olistici e personalizzati per promuovere un'innovazione, un'implementazione e un'adozione dell'intelligenza artificiale sicure e inclusive da parte di tutti.

Emerging Long-Term Megatrends 2025

Come ogni anno, l’Italian Institute for the Future elenca in questo rapporto dieci cambiamenti destinati a influenzare il nostro futuro, a partire dall’osservazione dei segnali dell’anno passato. Fenomeni emergenti, wild card e megatrend globali da tenere sotto osservazione per i prossimi anni, per coglierne le opportunità o minimizzarne i rischi. Il rapporto è frutto del lavoro di horizon scanning annuale dei megatrend svolto da IIF e include anche quest’anno una sezione dal titolo “A che punto è il futuro?” che passa in rassegna alcuni dei temi degli anni passati per valutarne l’evoluzione. Il Rapporto è uno strumento pensato per favorire l’alfabetizzazione al futuro del grande pubblico e l’assunzione di decisioni anticipanti da parte di imprese, organizzazioni e istituzioni.

Like every year, the Italian Institute for the Future lists in this report ten changes destined to influence our future, starting from the observation of the signals of the past year. Emerging phenomena, wild cards and global megatrends to keep under observation for the coming years, to seize the opportunities or minimize the risks. The report is the result of the annual horizon scanning of megatrends carried out by IIF and also this year includes a section entitled “Where is the future at?” which reviews some of the themes of past years to evaluate their evolution. The Report is a tool designed to promote future literacy among the general public and the adoption of anticipatory decisions by companies, organizations and institutions.

The Global Risks Report 2025

The Global Risks Report 2025 presents the findings of the Global Risks Perception Survey 2024- 2025 (GRPS), which captures insights from over 900 experts worldwide. The report analyses global risks through three timeframes to support decision makers in balancing current crises and longer-term priorities. Chapter 1 explores current or immediate term (in 2025) and short- to medium-term (to 2027) risks, and Chapter 2 focuses on the risks emerging in the long term (to 2035). The report considers not only the survey findings and the range of implications, but also provides six in-depth analyses of selected risk themes.

The Global Risks Report 2025 presenta i risultati del Global Risks Perception Survey 2024-2025 (GRPS), che raccoglie spunti da oltre 900 esperti in tutto il mondo. Il rapporto analizza i rischi globali attraverso tre intervalli temporali per supportare i decisori nel bilanciare le crisi attuali e le priorità a lungo termine. Il capitolo 1 esplora i rischi attuali o immediati (nel 2025) e a breve-medio termine (fino al 2027), mentre il capitolo 2 si concentra sui rischi emergenti a lungo termine (fino al 2035). Il rapporto considera non solo i risultati del sondaggio e la gamma di implicazioni, ma fornisce anche sei analisi approfondite di temi di rischio selezionati.
